"There is no such thing as being done with an artistic life. Frustrations and rewards exist
at all levels on the path. Our aim here is to find the trail, establish our footing, and begin the climb (...) Many of us wish we were more creative. Many of us sense we are more creative, but are unable to actualize them for ourselves. (...) While there is no quick fix for instant, pain-free creativity, creative recovery (or discovery) is a teachable, trackable spiritual process."
-Julia Cameron (pg.5)
To my like-minded students, this quote was inspiring to me. It feels so true and relatable on all levels, especially for creative spirits like us! Just as we discussed in the workshop, withholding the artist child from within or dismissing our wants to express ourselves can lead to a devastating end. As most of you mentioned:boredom, void of life, and "too much of the same" would consume you if creativity and art weren't a factor in your life. Keep up with your goals to fulfill your creative dreams!!

Creative Workshop today....
I would like to thank all of the women who came out to my workshop today in Geneseo.
We had a great time and I could sense the creative energy in the room just wanting to pour out of each participant. Thanks for being so brave ladies and be sure to keep in touch and let me know how your "artist child" is doing. Have fun on your dates!
I will soon be posting excerpts from Julia Cameron's text "The Artist's Way"(this is the text I based a lot of discussion on this afternoon) so we can all have something to ponder/write about in the weeks to come. It can also be a reminder of what we learned today during the course.
Have a wonderful, creative week everyone!
Namaste,
Georgjean
